We are recruiting on behalf of our client who is currently recruiting for a passionate and dedicated Level 3 Playgroup Practitioner. If you have a full Level 3 in Childcare, a minimum of 2 years previous experience and are dedicated to a career within the industry, we would love to hear from you!

The setting takes on children between the ages of 2 - 5 years old. This position is a term-time only role, on a permanent basis. As a Playgroup Practitioner, you will be joining a friendly, supportive and experienced team. Our client is dedicated to helping children with Special Educational Needs, therefore, to be considered for this role, the successful candidate must have experience and knowledge in SEN (Special Educational Needs) as approximately 40% of the children have SEN.

The successful candidate will be working 8:45am - 5:15pm on Monday's and 8:45am - 4:15pm from Tuesday to Friday, term time only. You will be paid for 36 hours per week and will work for 39 weeks of the year (13 weeks off per year) and will be entitled to 5.6 weeks paid holiday each year. The salary will be £19,508 per annum.

After one year of employment, the successful candidate will be entitled to 10 days sick pay per annum and after three years of employment you will be entitled to 20 days sick pay per annum.

Our client was established 46 years ago in North London. It is a registered charity and is led by a management committee. They are open from 9:00am - 4:00pm, Monday - Friday.

Your responsibilities as a Playgroup Practitioner will include:

  • To work in partnership with parents and carers
  • To observe, plan and evaluate childrens development
  • Maintain accurate and effective childrens records
  • Ensure Food Safety Regulations are complied with
  • To have responsibility for the health, safety and cleanliness of the setting

Requirements of this Playgroup Practitioner Role:

  • Level 3 in Childcare or above
  • Knowledge of the EYFS
  • Knowledge and experience with SEN
  • Knowledge of Safeguarding
  • Experience and passion for Early Years
