Salary: £23,500.00-£25,500.00 per year
We are proud to be working on behalf of our client in St Albans who are currently recruiting for a Pre-school Room Leader. Please note that to be considered for this role, candidates must have a minimum of Level 3 in Childcare. The successful candidate will be joining a well-established and well-known nursery with the potential for future career progression.
As the Room Leader of the Pre-school room, you will be responsible for leading the room and your team with providing high levels of care and education to the children, taking the required and appropriate action of any Safeguarding concerns, leading your team and offering support and guidance to more junior staff as and when required.
The nursery has children from 3 months to 5 years and the setting itself is ideally located, being only approximately a 10 minute walk from near-by transport links. They are open 7:30am - 6:30pm, Monday to Friday, 51 weeks per year with a 1 week Christmas closure.
Our client truly care and value their staff, therefore to make the day-to-day less stressful, they operate their rooms above the legal ratio requirement. This means there will be more staff to assist and therefore making your days much easier and stress-free!

Your responsibilities will include:
- To maintain the high standards expected by the Nursery Manager
- To effectively manage the staff in your room
- Support and supervise staff in your room
- Ensure policies and procedures are adhered to
- Promote the nursery to current and potential parents
- Provide effective and clear leadership of your team
- Supervise and support in the preparation of meals
- Train and support new staff
- To maintain a well organised room
Requirements of this Role:
- Minimum of Level 3 in Childcare
- Minimum of 2 years previous Childcare experience
