We are recruiting on behalf of our client who is currently looking to recruit for a passionate and dedicated full-time Room Leader. If you have a full Level 3 in Childcare, we would love to hear from you! An additional bonus will be previous experience as a Room Leader, however this is only preferable and not required. A minimum of 2 years previous experience as a Nursery Practitioner is required to be considered for this role.

The successful candidate will be responsible for running the room and you will also be responsible for the staff in your particular room. This is a permanent role which is offering a competitive basic salary and additional benefits.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Implement the EYFS curriculum
• Lead planning for the EYFS curriculum and maintain accurate childrens records
• Assume deputy responsibilities in the absence of the deputy manager if required
• Support, mentor and supervise room staff in their day-to-day duties
• Monitor your teams paperwork including planning and learning journeys on a regular basis
• Provide high standards of quality within the nursery
• Remain up-to-date with current developments in childcare
• Ensure that the nutritional needs of the children are met

Requirements of this Role:

• Level 3 in Childcare or above
• Minimum of 1 year previous Room Leader experience
• Passion to upskill
• A positive role model to your team
• Excellent knowledge of the EYFS
• Extensive knowledge of Safeguarding
