Nursery Deputy Manager

Salary: £26,000.00-£30,000.00 per year

An exciting role for a Deputy Nursery Manager has become available at one of our clients settings, based in South West London. This is a great opportunity for a candidate who has a minimum of Level 3 in Childcare and at least 2 years previous experience as a Room Leader or above. If you have a full Level 3 in Childcare and are eager to progress in your career, we would love to hear from you!

If you are looking for a Management position within a friendly and supportive nursery, this is the job for you! You will have the opportunity to assist the Nursery Manager in running the setting on a day-to-day basis and will be a very good step closer to getting into a Nursery Manager position in the future, if this is your ambition.

The successful candidate must be happy to commute to work via public transport on a daily basis due to no parking near-by to the setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • To ensure the staffing levels in each room
  • To support the Nursery Manager
  • To support the wider staff team
  • To provide high standards of childcare and education
  • To be responsible for a group of key children
  • To be responsible for the Health & Safety standards
  • To liaise with outside professionals/agencies as and when required
  • To maintain confidentiality at all times
  • To deputise for the Manager in their absence
  • To undertake any other duties and responsibilities of an equivalent nature

Requirements for this Role:

  • Level 3 or above in Childcare
  • Previous experience of managing a room or team within a nursery setting
  • Minimum of 2 years previous Childcare experience
