We are proud to have partnered with our client in London who are currently recruiting for two Nursery Room Leaders with a minimum of 2 years previous experience as a Nursery Practitioner or above.

As a Nursery Room Leader, you will be responsible for ensuring your room runs to the highest standards. You will be the lead practitioner in your room and will have the responsibility of monitoring team performance, needs for staff training and ensuring your room operates at a standard acceptable by Ofsted. This is a Management role therefore to be considered for this role, candidates must have a minimum of 2 years previous experience in Childcare and a full Level 3.

There is the potential for flexibility in the particular room you will be based in. The employer will attempt to allocate your preferred room to yourself, where possible.

The nursery opens at 7:30am and closes at 6:30pm. This role requires the successful candidates to be working full-time, 40 hours per week. The setting has children between the ages of 3 months - 5 years. The successful candidate will be the Nursery Room Leader of a nursery that has been running for nearly 20 years therefore you will be joining and leading a well established and friendly setting.

Your responsibilities as a Nursery Room Leader will include:

• Formulate and operate a programme of activities
• Support all staff and engage in a good staff team
• Liaise with and support parents and other family members
• Attend monthly staff meetings outside working hours
• Lead your room and provide effective and supportive management to your team
• Ensure your allocated room is operating to the highest standards
• Train, mentor and support new employees and apprentices
• Complete occasional supervisions and appraisals for your team
• Work alongside the Senior Management team and staff team
• To ensure good standards of hygiene and cleanliness are maintained at all times
• To be responsible for the Health and Safety standards within your room

Requirements of this Nursery Room Leader Role:

• Level 3 in Childcare or above
• Minimum 2 years previous experience as a Nursery Practitioner or above
• A passion and commitment for a long-term career in Childcare
