We are proud to be recruiting on behalf of our client in London who are currently recruiting for a Nursery Floor Manager with a minimum of 2 years previous experience as a Nursery Deputy Manager or above.
If you have a Level 3 or above in Childcare, a minimum of 2 years previous experience as a Nursery Deputy Manager or above and the eagerness to progress to a Nursery Floor Manager role or continue your career in a new environment and setting, this could be the perfect role for you, keep reading!
As a Nursery Floor Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the high standards of physical, personal, emotional, social, and intellectual education and care for all children in the nursery. You will supervise and support the team within the nursery to implement a high standard of quality practice. You will also work as part of a team in order to provide an enabling environment in which all children can play, learn and develop.
The nursery is open from 7:30am - 6:30pm, this role is a full-time, 40 hours per week role. The setting has children between the ages of 3 months - 5 years. The successful candidate will be the Nursery Floor Manager of a nursery that has been running for nearly 20 years therefore you will be joining and leading a well established and friendly setting.

Your responsibilities as a Nursery Floor Manager will include:
- To promote the aims and objectives of the nursery
- To promote the high standards of the nursery at all times to parents, staff and visitors
- To ensure the high standards of care
- To support Nursery Manger and Director to meet the needs of the nursery
- To support all rooms when needed
- To support supervisions/room meetings/appraisals
- To lead a team and to ensure good practice at all times
- To support and mentor apprentices during training
- To plan and organise staffing schedules and holiday rotas
- To support the team members to have the specific knowledge and skill
- Formulate and operate a programme of activities that meet the individual needs and interests of children
- Support all team members to conduct an end of nursery review of each key child
- Feed into appraisals, target setting and nursery operations
- Support new team members through inductions
Requirements of this Nursery Floor Manager Role:
- Level 3 in Childcare or above
- Minimum 2 years previous experience as a Nursery Deputy Manager or above
- A passion and commitment for a long-term career in Childcare
