Qualifications Required:
- Associate degree or higher.
- Any of the following licenses/certifications: Valid RCVT (Registered Cardiovascular Technician), Valid RCSI (Radiologic Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist), Valid CRT (Certified Radiation Technologist), Valid AART (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists).
- 2+ years of experience in Endovascular Technologies.
- Any of the following licenses/certifications: Valid American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS), Valid American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (AHA ACLS).
Overview:
As an Endovascular Tech, CA, you will perform various cardiovascular diagnostic and therapeutic services. Your responsibilities will include performing interventional cardiovascular catheterization and cardiac electrophysiology procedures, diagnostic ultrasound examinations, and ensuring radiation safety during procedures.
Job Specific Duties:
Your duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Reviewing and recording pertinent patient history and clinical data.
- Performing clinical procedures and obtaining records of anatomical, pathological, and physiological data for physician interpretation.
- Participating in interventional cardiovascular catheterization and cardiac electrophysiology procedures.
- Performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations.
- Setting up rooms and sterile tables for procedures.
- Assisting physicians during procedures.
- Ensuring radiation safety practices during procedures.
- Managing equipment and supplies for endovascular procedures.
- Educating and training new technicians.
- Providing patients with care and attention while maintaining their privacy and dignity.
- Preparing documentation to meet established standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Completion of an accredited Registered Cardiovascular Technician Certification (RCVT, RCIS) program OR accredited Radiology Technologist program with a Certified Radiation Technologist (CRT) OR the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Experience: Minimum two years of experience, with at least 12 months in the last 24 months, including experience performing cardiovascular diagnostic and therapeutic services.
