Rural Staffing Services is actively recruiting a Director of Nursing (DON) for an established behavioral health facility in Vancouver, WA. This is an opportunity for a dynamic nursing leader to oversee inpatient behavioral health services, drive quality patient care, and lead a dedicated team in a collaborative environment.
About the Role
The Director of Nursing will be responsible for the overall clinical and administrative leadership of the nursing department, ensuring high-quality care delivery, regulatory compliance, and staff development. This role is critical in shaping patient outcomes and fostering a positive work culture within the facility.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide strategic leadership and direction to the nursing team, ensuring excellence in patient care.

Act as a liaison between physicians, patients, families, referral sources, and employees to maintain a high standard of service.

Oversee nursing operations, staff scheduling, and resource management to maintain optimal patient care levels.

Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local healthcare regulations, as well as accreditation standards.

Develop and implement policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and satisfaction.

Lead and mentor nursing managers and clinical staff, fostering professional development and retention.

Monitor key performance indicators, manage budgets, and prepare reports for executive leadership.
Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.

Licensure: Active, unencumbered RN license in the state of Washington.

Experience: Prior experience in behavioral health/psychiatric care.

Certifications: CPR Certification and Crisis Prevention Training (CPI) within 30 days of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:

Leadership experience in an inpatient behavioral health or psychiatric health setting.

Advanced degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field (or a plan to obtain).

Strong background in patient assessment, treatment planning, and regulatory compliance.
