Rural Staffing Services® partners with rural hospitals, clinics, community health centers, long-term care organizations, and healthcare systems throughout Vermont to identify experienced human resources leaders who understand the importance of supporting both employees and the communities they serve.

We are currently connecting with professionals who may be interested in active and upcoming human resources, talent, workforce, and employee relations leadership opportunities across Vermont.

These opportunities may include leadership within Critical Access Hospitals, Rural Health Clinics, Federally Qualified Health Centers, community hospitals, long-term care organizations, and integrated rural healthcare systems.

This Is More Than an HR Role

In rural healthcare, human resources plays a central role in whether an organization can recruit, retain, and support the people needed to care for the community.

HR leaders often work across every department and help shape the employee experience from the first conversation through onboarding, development, retention, and long-term engagement.

The strongest rural HR leaders are approachable, thoughtful, and trusted. They understand employment law and policy, but they also understand people.

They can support employees, advise leaders, navigate difficult situations, and help build a workplace where people feel respected, informed, and valued.

In smaller rural organizations, HR leaders may have broad responsibility across recruitment, employee relations, benefits, compensation, compliance, workforce planning, leadership development, and culture.

Why Rural Vermont?

Vermont's rural healthcare organizations serve communities shaped by the Green Mountains, forests, farmland, rivers, historic villages, and close-knit towns.

These organizations often compete for talent with larger systems while relying on smaller teams to carry broad responsibilities.

Human resources leadership in a rural Vermont setting offers the opportunity to shape culture, strengthen retention, support leaders, and help ensure the organization has the people it needs to continue serving the community.

The impact of strong HR leadership can be felt throughout the organization, from the employee experience and leadership effectiveness to patient care and long-term organizational stability.
