Bid Manager/Junior Quantity Surveyor

 Job Description:

Our client is seeking a Bid Manager to lead the entire bid process, from identifying opportunities to submitting proposals. The role involves ensuring high-quality and timely proposal submissions that meet client needs, managing bid budgets and resources, and ensuring compliance with requirements. The Bid Manager is also responsible for understanding market trends and competitors to shape bid strategies. This position supports business development, strengthens market position, and drives revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end bid process, from identifying opportunities to submitting proposals.
  • Develop and execute bid strategies in line with company goals and client requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, manage budgets, and meet timelines.
  • Monitor public and private tender portals for new opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate bid documentation and participate in negotiations.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and client standards.
  • Analyse bid performance metrics to improve future bids.

Key Tasks:

  • Research market opportunities and assess client needs.
  • Oversee the bid process, including bid invitations and timelines.
  • Develop persuasive proposals, including pricing and technical responses.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to gather information and input.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and track bid performance, conducting post-bid analyses.
  • Continuously improve bid processes and stay updated on industry trends.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in bid or proposal management.
  • Experience managing complex bids, knowledge of government procurement, and demonstrated success in winning bids.
  • Proficiency in bid management software and MS Office.
  • Strong negotiation, budgeting, and collaboration skills, with attention to detail.
