Production Operative

 Job Description:

We're currently recruiting Production Operatives to support the day-to-day manufacturing process of our clients company. Reporting to the Shift Production Manager, this role is key to ensuring the safe and efficient operation of machinery, meeting production targets, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness, product quality, and health & safety compliance.

Key Personal Responsibilities:

  • Please note this role will operate across the following shift: 4pm - 2am Monday - Thursday (4 days - shift ends 2am Friday morning)
  • Good level of attention to detail as the work requires a high standard around accuracy and quality / quantity checks and sign off.
  • Adhere to all Operating Procedures when operating machinery or FLT's, especially in regard to Health & Safety, work instructions, and quality procedures and standards.
  • To complete all training required to successfully carry out all tasks.
  • Ensure that all paperwork relevant in your area is completed to a high degree of accuracy.
  • To work as part of a production / operational team to manufacture products, adhering to H&S, work order sheets and comply with feed quality and quality guidelines
  • To ensure all daily operational and housekeeping tasks are completed to a high standard and fully documented.
  • To ensure that your designated work station/ area is clean and tidy during and at the end of your shift, complying with the required clean as you go policy.
  • Ensure that the relevant PPE is worn at all times.
  • To carry out all tasks and duties in accordance with Health & Safety standards.
  • Always pay due care and attention when moving pallets anywhere in the operation.
  • To maintain a positive attitude and actively engage and work well with others.
  • Have a good attendance and timekeeping record, and adhere to all site rules regarding break times and smoking policy.
  • Work flexibly to meet demands.
  • To carry out other tasks as detailed by the Production Management

Team Member Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Work with Production Manager and Shift Managers to ensure shared responsibility for delivering all Key Production Indicators and targets.
  • Be a flexible and committed member of the Production team.
  • Behave professionally with a positive and helpful attitude to all colleagues and customers.
  • Take Health, Safety and Environmental ownership of themselves, others and activities within their areas of responsibility and raising all HSE concerns they become aware of, outside their areas of responsibility, with relevant managers
