Job Title: Senior Accountant (Contractor, Part-Time)

Location: On-site at client's facilities in San Juan, Puerto Rico

Job Type: Contractor (Part-Time, 20+ hours per week)

Job Description: We are currently seeking a highly experienced Senior Accountant to join our team as a contractor. This role will focus on managing and executing financial operations directly at our clients facilities. The Senior Accountant will handle crucial accounting tasks and ensure financial accuracy and compliance directly at the client site. This position requires a part-time commitment of over 20 hours per week with a flexible schedule. The role does not require CPA certification (but it is a plus!), making it suitable for seasoned professionals with substantial accounting experience.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards while maintaining precise records.
• Manage tax obligations and strategize for optimal fiscal performance.
• Collaborate with external auditors, providing necessary data and support during audits.
• Oversee internal controls and improve financial and accounting systems and processes.
• Offer guidance and support to junior accounting staff if needed.
• Facilitate and contribute to budget and financial forecasting exercises.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• A minimum of 6-8 years experience in accounting.
• Thorough knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Proficient with modern accounting software and Microsoft Office.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with colleagues and clients.
