As the Construction Cost Estimator you'll oversee and contribute to the preparation of project estimates, ensuring cost accuracy and alignment with project requirements. They respond effectively to specifications while upholding a high standard of professionalism in the estimating process.

The Construction Cost Estimator Will:

• Develops estimates and supporting documentation for prospective projects.
• Reviews and interprets contract documents (including plans, specifications, and addenda) while identifying opportunities for enhancement.
• Recognizes the distinction between cost estimating as a focused task and the broader role of preconstruction services.
• Collaborates effectively with architects and leadership in the preconstruction phase and implementing industry best practices.
• Requests and gathers bids and proposals from subcontractors and suppliers, compiling targeted contact lists for specific projects.
• Structures and evaluates estimate components, including general conditions, bid preparation, quantity take-offs, and cost analyses.
• Oversees the creation and submission of bid proposals.
• Develops comprehensive project schedules for proposed work and leads special estimating projects.
• Conducts quantity take-offs, organizes data, assigns costs, and evaluates financial details.
• Creates schematic sketches and conceptual plans to illustrate strategies and methodologies.

The Construction Cost Estimator Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Extensive knowledge of all construction systems and disciplines, including mechanical and electrical, enabling the completion of detailed cost estimates independently.
• Over 9 years of experience in large-scale commercial projects.
• Strong understanding of self-performed concrete construction.
• Expertise in hard-bid, design-build, and conceptual estimating.
• Experience using Revit and Primavera systems.
• Experienced in estimating across all design phases, including conceptual, schematic, design development, and construction documentation.
• Deep understanding and practical application of Target Value Design principles.
• Hands-on experience with Construction Estimating Software.
