Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement machine learning models and statistical analyses to solve critical business challenges in the fintech space.
- Analyze large, complex datasets to uncover trends, insights, and patterns that can drive product innovation and optimization.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, and marketing, to identify business needs and tailor data-driven solutions.
- Continuously evaluate model performance and maintain model integrity, adjusting algorithms and approaches as needed for optimal outcomes.
- Develop data visualization tools and dashboards to present insights effectively and support real-time decision-making for stakeholders.
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in data science, machine learning, and financial technology to ensure the company's practices remain cutting-edge.
- Ensure data privacy and compliance standards are met in line with financial regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in data science, with a focus on machine learning in the fintech or financial services industry.
- Strong proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Expertise in data visualization tools, such as Tableau, Power BI, or custom dashboards.
- Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and statistical modelling.
- Demonstrated ability to extract insights from complex datasets and present findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) is a plus.
- Experience in fraud detection, credit scoring, risk modelling, or customer segmentation within the fintech industry.
- Knowledge of big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with data governance, privacy regulations, and financial industry compliance requirements.
