About the job Design Engineer
We are looking for a design engineer to join our new innovative company, which manufactures pressure vessels and fully assembled systems for industrial water treatment.
You will be a member of our engineering team, contributing to the design of cutting-edge products for water treatment. To be successful in this position, you should have hands-on experience using CAD software, a familiarity with manufacturing methods, strong attention to detail and a creative flair.

You will report to
- Technology Manager
Responsibilities
- Design new engineering products
- Working with colleagues to develop design briefs
- Use computer-aided design (CAD) software to produce 3D models and technical drawings of products
- Run finite element analysis to test and optimise designs
- Design, run and analyse results of physical tests (e.g. water pressure test) on prototypes
- Design to international industry standards such as ASME X
- Identify optimal manufacturing processes
- Find and work with companies for outsourced manufacturing of components
- Research new product ideas and manufacturing methods
- Write detailed reports
- Finding creative solutions to problems
Types of parts you will be designing
- Fibreglass-reinforced epoxy resin pressure vessels manufactured by filament winding
- Stainless steel parts produced by casting, machining, and stamping
- Plastic and rubber parts produced using polymer casting and injection moulding
Requirements
- Degree in a relevant engineering discipline such as design engineering, industrial design, or mechanical engineering
- Previous experience as a design engineer or a similar role is a strong advantage
- Strong maths skills
- Proven experience using CAD software such as SolidWorks
- Proven experience using Abaqus and/or Anasys for finite element analysis is a strong advantage
- A creative flair and design ability
- Good visual and spatial awareness
- Attention to detail
- Ability to solve problems
- Commercial awareness
- Time management and organisational skills
- Excellent written and oral communication in English
- Knowledge of Hindi and/or Arabic is a strong advantage
