Infrastructure / Solution Architect (On-Prem Data Center)

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure / Solution Architect to design and deliver end-to-end on-premises infrastructure solutions across enterprise data center environments. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on architecture experience, the ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical designs, and deep expertise across compute, virtualization, storage, networking, and resiliency solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end on-premises infrastructure solutions across enterprise data center environments.

• Define and maintain infrastructure standards, reference architectures, and design patterns.

• Translate business and application requirements into robust, scalable technical architectures.

• Develop comprehensive architecture artifacts, including:

  • High-Level Designs (HLDs)

  • Low-Level Designs (LLDs)

  • Architecture diagrams

  • Capacity and performance models

Data Center & Platform Architecture

• Architect, design, and optimize the following platforms:

  • Servers & compute platforms

  • Virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V)

  • Enterprise storage solutions (SAN, NAS, backup platforms)

  • Network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, firewalls, load balancers)

• Design and implement high availability, fault tolerance, and disaster recovery solutions.

• Perform capacity planning, performance tuning, and infrastructure optimization across environments.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Solution Architect / Infrastructure Architect in enterprise data center environments.

• Strong hands-on expertise in on-prem infrastructure architecture and design.

• Experience producing detailed architecture documentation and design artifacts.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to work closely with business, application, and technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).

• Relevant certifications (VMware, Microsoft, networking, storage) are a strong plus.
