JOB DESCRIPTION

Purpose of this position:

  • Identify, select, and evaluate new products to add in portfolio of sales team based on market attractiveness, current capabilities, and strategies. Liase with regional & local departments.
  • Engage in preparing & presenting business proposal to Manufacturers (brand plan, financial proposal), contract negotiation, preparation, and management.
  • Build industry contacts, keep updated with market trends (brand acquisition, new launch of multinational pharma companies) for business strategy purposes.

Responsibilities:

  1. New Business Development 
      • Support the BD director, including liaising with regional team, Head of Sales & Marketing, and other local department personnel to prepare business proposals, including:
          1. Evaluation of market (including conducting a mini-market research to understand competitors, key market decision makers, study scientific literature) brand potential (understanding of disease, prescription, regulatory status, sales performance, competitor analysis)
          2. Sales forecast
          3. Marketing plan (unique selling point of brand, strategy in different market segments) team allocation (size, geography, cost) Transfer price; Business integration plan; P&L
      • Actively engage in the negotiation of contract. Contribute to contract preparation & management.
      • Engage in business integration to Commercial Solutions (marketing) team: cascade contract commitment, team recruitment, P&L transfer, marketing plan
  2. Clients Retention
      • Engage in business performance review with Clients
      • Lead or assist in contract renewal negotiations
      • Present new products, services, and enhance existing relationships.
      • Work with regional and support commercial solution personnel and other internal colleagues to meet Client needs.
  3. Business Development Planning
      • Identify portfolio pipeline (products) for the Company, taking into account market situation and Company’s existing capabilities in commercial solutions.
      • Study existing Clients’ portfolio performance and pipeline to identify potential business for the Company.
      • Identify and reach out to potential new clients and convert these contacts into additional Company’s business. Actively grow, maintain, and leverage a solid network of relevant industry connection.
      • Be aware of changing business trends and regulations which may impact the Company or its Clients. Work on proactive strategies to benefit from business/regulation changes.
      • Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiation.
  4. Others
      • Fill in monthly/weekly/quarterly files for the regional team. Track and record activity on capabilities of Company commercial solutions team (coverage, plans, team size)


Requirements:

  • University graduation. Master degree/ Pharmacy degree will be an advantage.
  • Minimum 03 years of sales & marketing management or consulting in pharmaceutical business
  • Strong experience in market assessment, product potential evaluation, sales forecast and P&L projection.
  • Experience in business opportunity evaluation related to Pharmaceutical business, product & market opportunities and financial profit models.
  • Ability to present confidently to Senior Management of multinational pharmaceutical companies in English.
  • Excellent at Power Point, Excel, numbers, and data analysis
  • Good analytic skill and able to acquire insight from various sources and market research to identify effective approach to support cross-functional team and be able to transform key finding from market research to marketing implication
  • Creative thinking beyond the boundaries of existing industry practices.
