Bakery Assistant - Doughnut Fryer

Our client, a Sweet Dream Doughnuts coffee shop, is dedicated to turning doughnut-making into an art form. At their workshop, they specialise in crafting 16 varieties of dream doughnuts inspired by the classic French patisserie concept. Their Instagram-worthy creations have captured the hearts and taste buds of doughnut enthusiasts everywhere.

About the Role:

As a Doughnut Fryer you'll be an integral part of their team, bringing their delectable creations to life. They operate in a craft baking environment, preparing a wide range of artisan special doughnuts, counter cakes, and classic pastries.

Responsibilities:

• Fry doughnuts in a manual fryer using traditional methods, ensuring each one is cooked to perfection.
• Control the production flow, ensuring a seamless transition from prover to fryer.
• Maintain a clean and organised frying area, including equipment upkeep and oil management.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain an efficient production flow and uphold their high standards.
• Assist with general cleaning duties, organising storage, and handling supplier boxes to keep their workshop running smoothly.

Requirements:

• The role involves a combination of early morning, daytime shifts. Candidates must be available to start as early as 6:00 AM when required, with the remaining shifts scheduled during the day.
• Previous experience in food production is essential.
• Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent time management skills to meet production deadlines.

Employment Details:

• Part time / Full time, Permanent position. 4-5 days per week.
• Hourly wage: £11.50 - £13.00.
• Availability required on weekends.
