Compliance Manager

Technical and Compliance Manager (HSEQ) Fresh Produce / High-Care Food Production 
Location: West London | Full-time, Permanent

Are you a technical compliance leader with a strong background in fresh produce or high-risk food manufacturing? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a major player in the UK fresh produce supply chain, known for delivering responsibly sourced, high-quality fruit and vegetables to major UK retailers.

We are seeking a Compliance Manager to lead the technical compliance function at depot level. You will champion food safety and health & safety, oversee site audits and certifications, and implement a robust Total Quality Management System to ensure safe, legal, and high-quality products.

What You will Be Doing:

• Lead all compliance activities across site (H&S, food safety, environmental standards).
• Manage all BRC, customer, and regulatory audits (announced/unannounced).
• Drive a strong food safety and quality culture across the depot.
• Develop and maintain the HACCP, verification, validation, and risk assessment processes.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams, external suppliers, and customers.
• Lead training and development to ensure the team remains compliant and audit-ready.
• Proactively address compliance issues, drive root cause resolution and continuous improvement.
• Support new product development (NPD) and customer onboarding from a compliance perspective.

What You will Bring:

• Degree in Food Science, Horticulture, Agriculture or similar.
• Level 4 HACCP & Food Safety certification.
• NEBOSH Certificate or Diploma (desirable).
• Experience working with BRC, GFSI, and major UK retailer standards.
• Strong knowledge of compliance in fresh produce, high-care, or chilled food environments.
• Hands-on auditing experience (internal and third-party).
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder engagement, and decision-making skills.
• Data-driven mindset and a methodical approach to compliance reporting.
• Flexible to travel across UK sites and international farming operations.
