Role Overview

As a Shift Leader, you will manage store operations during your shift and lead a team of 5-6 team members. You will ensure efficient service, uphold brand standards, support team performance, and deliver a welcoming customer experience. This role is perfect for someone with supervisory experience in high-volume bakeries, cafés, or coffee shops, who thrives in a fast-paced setting and is eager to grow into management.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, supervise, and support baristas and front-of-house staff during your shift
  • Ensure high standards of service, cleanliness, and store presentation
  • Open and/or close the store following company checklists and safety protocols
  • Manage stock levels, ensuring product displays are fully stocked and replenished
  • Assist customers with product choices and handle transactions as needed
  • Monitor shift performance, motivate the team, and provide hands-on support
  • Collaborate with senior management to resolve operational issues and implement improvements
  • Conduct basic inventory checks and manage shift handovers
  • Maintain constantly hygiene, health & safety, and food quality standards


Person Specification

Experience & Skills:

  • Previous supervisory or team leader experience, preferably in busy bakeries, cafés, or coffee shops
  • Confident managing small teams (5-6 people) and delegating tasks effectively
  • Excellent communication skills with fluent English
  • Strong understanding of customer service principles
  • Barista skills are an advantage but not essential; training is available
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities

Schedule: This is a full-time position requiring availability at least 5 days a week, including weekends, public holidays, and bank holidays. Сandidate must be available to work either morning, daytime, or evening shifts as needed.
