Job Title: Kitchen Porter / Kitchen Assistant

Location: Covent Garden OR Soho, London

Venue: Luxury Bakery Coffee Shop

Hours: Full Time 

Shifts: Rotating Shifts: / Morning / Daytime / Evening Shifts. Must be available working most weekends and bank holidays. 

Pay: £11.50 - £12.00 per hour

Role Overview:

Our client is looking for a dedicated and hardworking Kitchen Porter/Kitchen Assistant to support their pastry chefs in a bustling production kitchen. This role is perfect for a strong, reliable individual who excels in a fast-paced environment and can work independently with minimal supervision.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Wash and maintain kitchen equipment
• Handle packing and unpacking of deliveries
• Take full responsibility for unloading deliveries
• Keep the kitchen area clean and organized
• Adhere to Health & Safety and Hygiene protocols
• Provide general support to chefs as needed

Previous Experience and Skills:

• Ideally, previous experience as a kitchen porter
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Capable of working independently with minimal supervision
• Basic knowledge of Health & Safety and Hygiene practices
• Reliable and flexible, with the ability to work weekends and varied shifts
• Physically fit with the ability to lift and move heavy boxes
