Are you an experienced Logistics Coordinator ready to take more ownership and develop your career within a growing international food business?

We are recruiting for a UK food trading and distribution company working with products sourced from across Europe and Ukraine and supplied to customers throughout the UK.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with at least 2 years' experience in logistics, transport, supply chain or distribution who enjoys a hands-on role, solving problems and keeping goods moving efficiently.

You'll join a small, collaborative team where you'll have real responsibility for day-to-day logistics and the opportunity to broaden your experience across transport coordination, warehousing, inventory and customer deliveries.

The Role

As Logistics Coordinator, you'll take ownership of day-to-day transport arrangements, coordinating the movement of goods from UK arrival points to the warehouse and from the warehouse to customers.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Coordinating third-party transport for inbound and outbound deliveries

• Booking warehouse loading/unloading slots and customer deliveries

• Sourcing transport providers, comparing quotes and negotiating transport rates

• Tracking collections and deliveries and resolving delays or operational issues

• Liaising with hauliers, warehouses, customers and internal teams

• Keeping all parties informed of delivery progress, changes and potential delays

• Checking transport invoices against agreed rates

• Monitoring warehouse inventory and investigating stock discrepancies

• Confirming scheduled deliveries have been completed successfully

About You

We're looking for someone who is organised, proactive and confident taking ownership of a busy logistics workload.

You should have:

• Minimum 2 years' experience within logistics, transport, supply chain or distribution

• Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail

• Good spoken and written English

• Good Microsoft Excel skills and general computer literacy

• Confidence communicating with transport providers, warehouses, customers and colleagues

• The ability to manage multiple deliveries, priorities and deadlines

• A practical, solution-focused approach to operational challenges

• The ability to work independently and take responsibility for your workload

Experience within food logistics, food distribution or FMCG would be advantageous but is not essential.

A degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field would be beneficial.

Ukrainian language skills would be an advantage but are not essential.
