About the job ESMS Manager

  • Overall Purpose of the Role:
The main role of the position is to be responsible for monitoring the compliance of Environmental & Social Management System (ESMS) and HSE by keeping people free from danger, risk, or injury in the workplace and minimize losses due to injuries and property damage by implementing, maintaining and improving the ESMS/HSE Management Systems requirements at the defined operational areas, offices, showrooms and workshops within RMA (Cambodia) PLC., He/she needs to prepare and ensure implementation of ESMS/HSE Plan, Environmental Impact Assessment, Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment and other project related ESMS/HSE documentation and technical requirements, targeting compliance to the international standards, and local regulations and legislations.

·       Overseeing the implementation and ongoing compliance with the RMAC ESMS. This includes communicating, monitoring, representative management, reporting and education.

·       To do administrative management of the ESMS in offices, showrooms, workshops within RMA Cambodia operation area.

·       To review and update of the ESMS/HSE information containing the policies and procedures as planned or required.

·       To monitor and interact with the key persons in showrooms and workshop in all ESMS, Health & Safety and Environmental requirements and its conformance which include preparation of ESMS/HSE Project Plan, Risk assessment and random safety inspections.

·       To lead the investigation team in case of serious accidents or incidents, and monitor and review accident statistics and advise the team as and when needed.

·       To ensure that the ESMS/HSE system in RMAC offices, showrooms and workshops is regularly reviewed for its continuing effectiveness and that adherence to procedures is assessed by means of planned and independent internal and external audits.

·       To carry out investigation and ensure corrective action on any Non-Conformances on ESMS/HSE system.

·       To report to the direct line supervisor the status of the ESMS/HSE management system.

·       To attend training and seminars related to ESMS/HSE when it’s necessary

To perform other relevant tasks as required by Direct Line Manager.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

·       Technical Education/Engineering or significant experience in HSSE

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

ESSENTIAL:

·       At least 5 years of experience in a similar role

·       Experience in complex environments and hierarchies

·       Strong in both design and implementation of projects

·       Excellent command of English

·       Computer literate (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

 

OTHER:

·       Should be well educated and trained in at least one of the following:

a.       Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSAS 18001:2007).

b.       Other suitable IOS / HSE internationally recognized management systems (NEBOSH Qualified).

·       Experience in big multinational company will be considered a plus

·       Proactive and self-motivated

·       Able to work under pressure
