About the job Quality Control Manager
RMA Automotive is a part of RMA Group of Companies that is expanding its footprints of KD assembly in Cambodia that will commence operation in Q3/Q4 of 2021. The new manufacturing plant to build Ford vehicles in Krakor is equipped with excellent facilities, best assembly and quality assurance practices with latest technology.
This is an opportunity for professionals with Quality Assurance background in automotive assembly production to take the next step up and increase the skillset in high volume production systems with OEM standards.
As a key member of the management team, the Quality Control Manager will lead and manage the quality function from new production conception through to warranty analysis, ensuring a proactive culture to provide customers with products of the highest quality possible.
Functional responsibilities include:
- Lead the Quality team, coaching and developing its members.
- Establish quality and reliability standards to meet requirements of OEM Quality standards
- Actively lead the reduction of Customer PPMs (Parts Per Million), Warranty, Cost of Quality and in-house scrap and waste
- Implement new quality processes and systems where appropriate
- Calculate, monitor and control the defect rates, CP/CPK of the assembly processes
- Work to prevent non-conformances, customer complaints, concession and rework alongside Manufacturing/ Engineering and Operations to develop corrective and preventative actions within required time-frame
- Implement Quality Management System, updating procedures and train team members where required
- Maintain procedures and processes to QMS standards and other internal and external audit
- Ensure that corrective actions are implemented and non-compliance issues are resolved on time
- Prepare Quality reports on regular basis for management team
- Conduct Torque Audits, Process Audits, FCPA, R2O2 and other Quality tests for ensuring strong process and product Quality adherence
- Participate in warrantee investigations, report the issues to suppliers and follow up to resolve them
- Prepare Quality documents for process, product and QMS Quality standards
The position is open to automotive assembly quality control professionals with these skills and traits:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience leading a team of quality inspectors in automotive assembly (high volume preferred)
- Comprehensive knowledge of automotive inspection & quality standards, QMS, and defect analysis
- Good communication skills in English
