Position: Maintenance and Facilities Manager

Location: Vientiane Capital, Laos

The role holder is responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure that the facilities, equipment, and machinery operate efficiently and are in good repair. This role involves troubleshooting issues, performing preventative maintenance, and making necessary repairs.

Job Responsibilities

• Preventative Maintenance: Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery, equipment, and systems to ensure their proper functioning.
• Training and Development: Train and supervise employees of the maintenance department

• Repairs: Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime. Ensure operational efficiency of electrical equipment and mechanical systems through timely inspection and repair
• Installation: Assist in the installation and setup of new equipment and machinery as required.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety regulations and guidelines, ensuring that all repairs and maintenance are carried out safely and effectively. Implement workplace safety policies and standards
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance tasks.
• Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve equipment malfunctions and system issues efficiently.
• Facility Maintenance: Perform general building maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical work, painting, and carpentry as needed. Ensure that company premises and facilities are kept in clean and hygienic condition
• Inventory Management: Monitor and manage maintenance supplies and tools, ensuring that stock levels are maintained.
• Emergency Response: Respond to emergency maintenance requests promptly to minimize operational disruptions.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other departments and teams to ensure maintenance needs are met and operations run smoothly. Engaging Equipment supplier to provide aftersales service and parts replacement as and when needed. Identify outside vendors for execution of maintenance work
• Store Renovation Management: Ensure store renovation are following standard in bill of material and as per construction drawing and completed in timely manner.

Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree in engineering, administration or facility management / High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in a related field is a plus.
• Proven experience in a maintenance role, with a strong background in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Familiarity in drafting and understanding blueprints and schematics
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations.
• Effective communication and people management skills
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
• English language competency required.
• Ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces as needed.

Working Conditions:

• Environment: The job may involve working in various settings, including industrial and commercial properties.
• Hours: May require working shifts, including evenings, weekends, and on-call as necessary
