Overview of the role:
We are looking for an experienced Commercial Manager to join our Comin Asia business in Phnom Penh. The candidate will be responsible for developing and managing strategies to support our companys commercial business decisions. As such, this role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of the EPC sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the company commercial strategy, by identifying new product development opportunities, developing pricing models, preparing budget and creating winning strategies.
- Coordinate engineering activities with the implementation of standard referential, new design processes and tools.
- Oversee the preparation of bids and proposals, ensuring they are accurate, competitive, reviewed by other departments and compliant with all applicable regulations.
- Review contracts with partners by ensuring that they are fair and equitable to each party, and that they protect the company's interests.
- Set-up project control activities for the whole company with the definition of cost control methods and the implementation of a new ERP covering Estimating, Finance, Procurement and Project control departments.
- Manage the company's risk exposure, by identifying and mitigating risks associated with projects, contracts, and other business activities.
- Represent the company at industry events and conferences, by promoting the company's services and products, and building relationships with potential clients and partners.
- Stay up to date on industry trends and regulations, by reading industry publications, attending conferences, and participating in development programs.
- Proactively act as a coach and mentor to the team. Identify and resolve employee/team problems and conflicts when they arise.
Background and Experience:
- Masters degree in Business, Commerce, Finance, or related field
- At least 10 years of experience in Business Development, or similar field.
- Knowledge of Omniclass standard and new design processes and tools, such as- BIM design tool is desirable. Experience in EPC sector is desirable.
- Strong proficiency in Financial System, and Data Analysis Tools
- Excellent communication skills,
- Fluent in English, both oral and written
- Willingness to travel within South-East Asia as required
