Overview and responsibilities

As a key member of IT Operations, the IT Infrastructure Engineer will support the IT Infrastructure Team on looking after computer network, servers, backup and maintenance tasks both routine and unexpected), both in Head Office in Bangkok, branch offices in Bangkok and sometimes helping other locations/ countries per assigned. Provide user supports as well as working as a team member in an IT team.

Functional - IT Infrastructure:

  • Setup, upgrade and maintain physical and virtual servers located in Head Office, branches and in cloud.
  • Upgrade and maintain computer network systems (both wired and wireless).
  • Perform periodic (planned) systems maintenance.
  • Looking after backup system.
  • Troubleshoot and fix the unplanned incidents from time to time.
  • Monitoring systems health. Flag any concerns in a timely manner to reduce risk.
  • Make sure the CMDB is up-to-date.
  • Work closely with Group IT Operations Team in order to adhere the related Group RMA IT standards/ policies.
  • Manage to keep all IT spendings within budget and within timeline/ plan.
  • Ensure monetarial processes/ policies are followed to avoid unapproved expenses.

Functional: IT Users Support

  • Being part of the IT team in order to provide day-to-day user support, both to Bangkok offices and to branches/ countries.

Background and ways of working

  • Solid knowledge/ proven experience of setup, upgrade and maintain servers both logical and physical.
  • Solid knowledge/ proven experience of cloud technologies (preferrably AWS and/or Azure).
  • Good team player and communicator. Consistency report to supervisor/ manager. Make sure all plans/ actions are agreed before implementing.
  • Fast learner and always keen to keep up-to-date to technological changes.
