About the job Compliance Manager
Job Descriptions:
- Ensure all expenses allocated to personal training occurs per budget allocation.
- Ensure all utilities or tools allocated to or used by the incumbent for work related purposes (i.e., telephone, pool vehicle, printer, internet etc.) are used in a cost efficient manner to meet annual budget allocation.
- Ensure timely attendance to work and all absences from work are recorded as a leave of absence per HR Policy.
- Compliance with financial covenants.
- Applies knowledge of the Compliance Management Framework, policies and processes
- Seek advice to ensure appropriate actions are taken when potential incidents or breaches are identified and can appropriately challenge assumptions/status quo.
- Assist with preparing standard and ad-hoc information and data reports to Senior Management through the relevant forums (Board Risk and Compliance Committee, Board Audit Committee).
- Provide guidance to the officers on Customer Complaints
- Reporting and monitoring- Ensue all complaints are registered and escalated to BRCC for monitoring.
- Ensure all complaints are resolved within acceptable timeframes as per respective BSPF Countries Central Bank prudential guidelines.
- Assist in conducting initial and refresher training sessions on and Compliance Policies.
- Ensure all policies, procedures and process maps are documented and current
- Ensure all BSPF countries have documented Compliance Plans and Obligations registers in place.
- Provide BRCC assurance that processes and procedures are reviewed regularly and are in compliance with regulatory obligations.
- Ensure all outstanding audit items (Internal Audit, External Audit, Central Banks, Credit Inspection etc) are resolved and progressed through to closure within due dates assigned.
- Responsible for collaborating with staff and Business Units, and enhancing the whole-of-BSPF customer service culture by improving customer service standards.
- Maintain an understanding of relevant Compliance Policies, Framework and procedures to provide guidance to business units enabling them to implement compliant policies and procedures within the first line of defense.
- Be responsible for day to day management of employee training, including providing regular training to employees on internal policies and procedures, including promoting and enhancing a strong bank-wide Risk culture within the first line of defense.
- Responsible for understanding BSPs visions and values and personally applying them into your work and social habits.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelors degree or higher required.
- Minimum three years experience in a financial institution with minimum 2 years specific exposure in an area related to data analysis, compliance or quality assurance.
- Past experiences to support sound understanding of compliance.
- Past experiences to support sound understanding regulatory environment.
- Experience in Business and Improvement Processes
- Detailed understanding of banking business & the risks associated with it.
- Tertiary Qualifications in Law/Accounting and/or Business Management and/or Information Systems/Technology.
Professional certification of regulatory compliance.
