Overview and Purpose of the Role
The Sales Manager at RMA Groups Heavy Equipment Division plays a crucial role in promoting and selling heavy equipment. This position involves a deep understanding of the products' characteristics, capabilities, and features to provide tailored solutions to clients. Located in Vientiane, Laos, the Sales Manager works as a pivotal member of the sales team, focusing on converting showroom visitors into customers through effective communication and rapport building. This role is instrumental in achieving sales targets by aligning customer needs with the extensive range of heavy equipment offered by RMA Group.
Key Objectives:
- Understand heavy equipment by studying characteristics, capabilities, and features, comparing, and contrasting competitive models.
- Qualify buyers by understanding buyer's requirements and interests, matching requirements, and interests to various models, building rapport.
- Convert showroom visitors into customers by understanding their needs and interests and matching them with the most appropriate heavy equipment.
- Build a rapport with potential customers to improve the possibility of a sale in the future.
- Set sales objectives and establish action plans for achieving set targets
- Lead the team by setting examples on how to properly plan, prospect, initiate, manage and close sales opportunities.
- Provide leadership to the sales team.
- Motivate and encourage sales team to ensure targets are met.
- Review and analyze sales and operational records and reports; use data to project sales, determine profitability and targets, and identify potential new markets.
- Provide competitive information such as bid situations, pricing data, or bundling arrangements in order to establish negotiated pricing contracts for assigned products.
- Perform product demonstrations, installations, and application support.
- Preferential positioning of the company offerings with market insight, proper planning and diligent execution of sales activities.
- Day-to-day management of, and responsibility for, the full sales cycle and account management tasks, from prospecting all the way to client retention.
Background and Experience:
- Minimum 5-10 years experience in Sales and related job role.
- Knowledge of heavy equipment business environment.
- Excellent interpersonal communication, negotiation skills and networking ability.
- Good English skills both verbal & written.
- Open for Lao Nationals or Expats (preference for Lao and/or Thai language speakers).
