About the job Workshop Controller (Ford)
Job Descriptions:
- Ensure high-quality service and repairs are provided to every customer, maintains a clean, professional environment.
- Understanding of Co policy and maintaining high ethical standards in daily activities.
- Provides technical information and assists Technicians to ensure proper diagnoses of difficult problems.
- Establishes processes and standards to ensure customer satisfaction and efficient/effective operations.
- Analyzes problems and establishes procedures to solve them.
- Flags repair order according to established procedures.
- Provides estimation of time for completion of each repair order and maintains systems for tracking time spent on a job.
- Coordinates with Parts Department, Sales Department, other branches, and others to ensure effectiveness of the Service Process.
- Maintains Workshop Planner/Technician assignment board.
- Maintains active professional affiliation and certifications.
Keep up to date on industry trends. - Uses computers to monitor daily operations.
- Applies information found in manuals, publications, and other documents.
- Monitors the flow of work in the service department and intervenes as needed to ensure work is accomplished.
- Works with Service Advisor to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Generates pride and commitment within the Service Department, work with and provides training for the Technicians' development.
- Speaks clearly, concisely, and effectively.
- Promotes cooperation and teamwork across departmental boundaries.
- Maintaining customer loyalty by managing details and being results oriented. This includes demonstrating integrity, honesty, and professional in all areas of work.
Job Requirements:
- 3 to 5 years of experience in Automobile practical and diagnostic jobs with work in dealerships will be an advantage.
- Minimum of a Technical School degree or a Bachelor's degree in Automobile Engineering.
- A Business Management certificate will be most preferable.
Sound knowledge of computer applications. - Mentoring, coaching and performance management.
