We are seeking an experienced Distribution Center Manager, who will guide and support the overall strategy for sections of the RMA Cambodia business to transition to a centralized Distribution Model. This includes organizational design, warehouse size and design, workflow procedures, and IT-related requirements to ensure a digitized environment. The role is based in Phnom Penh and involves starting a warehouse operation, making experience in this area essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Management:
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping of goods.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth flow of inventory and timely delivery.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Inventory Management:
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure adequate stock and minimize overstocking or stockouts.
- Conduct regular inventory audits to maintain accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Implement and maintain inventory control systems to track stock movements and ensure data integrity.
- Staff Management:
- Supervise and manage warehouse staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation.
- Ensure staff adherence to safety protocols, operational procedures, and quality standards.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment to enhance team performance.
- Space Utilization:
- Optimize warehouse space utilization to maximize storage capacity and efficiency.
- Implement and maintain effective storage solutions, such as racking systems and automated storage and retrieval systems (AS/RS).
- Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, including OSHA standards and local laws.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and training sessions to maintain a safe working environment.
- Technology Integration:
- Implement and manage warehouse management systems (WMS) to automate and streamline operations.
- Utilize technology such as barcode scanners, RFID, and automated guided vehicles (AGVs) to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Stay updated with the latest warehouse technologies and trends to drive continuous improvement.
- Cost Management:
- Monitor and control warehouse operating costs, including labor, utilities, and maintenance.
- Identify and implement cost-saving measures to improve operational efficiency and profitability.
- Manage budgets and ensure financial accountability.
- Customer Service:
- Ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment to meet customer expectations.
- Address and resolve customer inquiries and complaints related to warehouse operations.
- Collaborate with customer service teams to enhance overall customer satisfaction.
- Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare and present regular reports on warehouse performance, inventory levels, and operational metrics.
- Analyze data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
- Utilize key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and monitor warehouse efficiency and effectiveness.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse operations and processes.
- Conduct regular reviews and assessments to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Stay informed about industry best practices and apply them to optimize warehouse performance.
- Liaison:
- Coordinate with all RMAC divisions in Cambodia and ADC in Thailand.
- Liaise with external partners, including government departments, suppliers, transport organizations, and multiple OEMs as required.
- Financial Responsibility:
- Responsible for the development of annual budgets and ensuring the division is profitable.
Qualifications:
- Educational Background:
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field such as Supply Chain Management, Logistics (preferred).
- Professional accreditation in CSCP, CLTD, or CPIM is highly desirable.
- Experience:
- Proven experience in warehouse management, preferably in a central warehouse setting.
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant technologies.
- Knowledge of inventory management, supply chain processes, and logistics operations.
- Experience in starting up warehouse operations is essential.
