About the job Development Chef
- 1) Multiple kitchen consistency and team management:
- In charge of the kitchens and develop new food products and/or expansion of existing product line for the Virtual brands
- Management of The Coffee Club Kitchen, as the Head of Chefs
- In charge of Krispy Kreme central production unit
- In charge of Dairy Queen Commissary (central production unit)
- 1a) Virtual Brands
- Creating product prototypes and recipe formulation; refining taste profiles based on experiments; suggesting changes to improve existing processes; and conducting in quality audits
- Formulating food production and hygiene standards and procedures;
- Menu Engineering Leading, brainstorming and developing new dishes/ expanding existing product range
- (1. Sourcing raw materials and ingredients 2. Recipes formulations 3. Arranging and evaluating product sampling 4. Identifying Halal status product (if relevant))
- Organize the kitchen and lead the team (including perishable inventory, pantry items, cleaning materials, cleaning staff, and sundries) and oversee the kitchen's day- to-day operations (i.e., workflow organization)
- Asian and western cuisine expertise required
- Collaborating with marketing department personnel and other related stakeholders in the development of the menu and messages to consumers alike
- Responsible for maintaining and updating the specification manuals/database for food/galley inventory product items, including the accurate recording of data for all recipes
- 1b, c) Krispy Kreme Factory and Dairy Queen Commissary
- Management and organization of the Krispy Kreme Factory daily operations
- Creating product prototypes and recipe formulation; refining taste profiles based on experiments; suggesting changes to improve existing processes; and conducting in quality audits.
- Oversee and implement standard procedures to maximize efficiencies and control variances in daily production of product and overall performance. Troubleshoot any production/equipment issues.
- Coordinate production schedules to fulfill our customers orders and run efficient and smart labor hours
- 1d) The Coffee Club
- Creating product prototypes and recipe formulation; refining taste profiles based on experiments; suggesting changes to improve existing processes; and conducting in quality audits

- Ensures the team is adhering to and complying with all franchisor requirements
- Monitoring food safety requirements
