Overview of the Role
The (AP) Accountant Payment is based in Bangkok (Thong Lor) within the Accounting Department. The role is responsible for executing and managing all aspects of the payment process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with tax regulations. The AP Accountant reports directly to the AP Supervisor and functionally to the AP & AR Manager, playing a key role in supporting efficient financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Handling AP module with a focus on the payment process.
- Reviewing payment documents to ensure completeness and compliance.
- Preparing and verifying Withholding Tax and VAT documentation.
- Conducting reconciliations for AP, Withholding Tax, and VAT accounts.
- Coordinating with other departments and external parties to drive payment-related activities.
- Supporting and contributing to process migrations, streamlining, and improvements.
- Assisting in other accounting projects as assigned by the Manager.
- Monitoring invoices to ensure proper documentation before payment and adherence to payment plans.
- Aligning with Treasury and Group Tax teams for process and compliance accuracy.
Background and Experience
- Bachelors degree in Accounting.
- 25 years of AP accounting experience, preferably from mid-sized companies
- processing over 500 payments/month and with a turnover above THB 1,000 million/year.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, particularly in the area of payments.
- Good command of English and effective communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and readiness to leverage it as a solution tool.
- Open to change, eager to learn, and demonstrates a growth mindset.
