Overview and purpose of the role

The Assistant Group Marketing Manager is the gatekeeper for the marketing department with responsibility for workflow and output, corporate guidelines, supporting inter-company relations, collaboration and co-ordination. In addition, this role is requires accuracy, managing deadlines and attention to detail.

This role reports into the Group Marketing Manager based in RMA Groups Bangkok Headquarters, working alongside the Online Media Specialist and two Graphic Designers. Group Marketing is responsible for RMA Group's corporate communications, automotive marketing and sales support, internal marketing and HR support.

Key objectives

  • Manage all marketing campaigns and ad hoc jobs from beginning to end, be accountable for quality and make sure that work is on brief.
  • Be a brand custodian for RMA Group and maintain and uphold the corporate guidelines and the required standard of work.
  • Collaborate with business heads to extract important information, analyze job requests, present work, receive and action feedback. Be the gatekeeper for fact checking, correctness, copy proofing, editing, and formatting.
  • Organize the marketing department and maintain an efficient workflow, eliminate inaccuracies, prevent bottle necks and ensure a smooth flow.
  • Maintain up to date job reports (status reports) and run status meetings. Follow up with to-do lists for the design team.
  • Prepare and update the annual marketing calendar with the marketing manager. Prepare quarterly / bi-annual marketing reviews and bi-monthly newsletter.
  • Manage corporate marketing activities namely corporate presentations, website content and updates, newsletters, automotive sales collateral, company and HR announcements, press releases.
  • Write accurate creative briefs. This includes the gathering of subject matter and relevant facts and details, interpreting product knowledge, applying business objectives and relevant insights related to this job.
  • Work with photographers, external suppliers and the purchasing department.
  • Maintain an up-to-date expenses sheet and participate in budget planning and forecasting with the Group Marketing Manager.
  • Maintain an archive of all work on Sharepoint drive.
  • Project management / event marketing for 1-2 major events per year.
  • Consult and collaborate with the Group Marketing Manager on strategy, implementation and workflow.
  • Interact regularly and proactively with other RMA business divisions, department heads, managers, operational staff and external suppliers and agencies.
  • Provide researched and qualified opinions to marketing issues and assist the Group Marketing Manager in driving a POV and following strategy.
  • Provide independent strategic insights and contribute to strategic planning working with the Group Marketing Manager.
  • Provide coaching and motivation to team members. Share information related to their work and provide accurate and constructive feedback. Identify and resolve/relay employee/team problems and conflict. You will receive coaching from the Group Marketing Manager and in turn proactively act as a coach and mentor to your team to enable them to improve their skills and knowledge.

Background and experience

  • 5 years work experience in a marketing, communications, advertising, corporate environment.
  • Experience in dealing with suppliers (e.g. events companies, merchandizer and printers) and service providers (e.g. photographers, copywriters, advertising + PR agencies)
  • Skilled in Powerpoint and excel and comfortable with Microsoft Teams and MS365 suite of programs.
  • Excellent communication in English and knowledge of/or speaking Thai.
