About the job Supply Chain & Logistic Manager
Key Responsibilities:
- Material Planning Responsibilities
·Planning and Management: Plan and manage logistics, warehouse operations, transportation, and customer services to ensure efficient and effective supply chain processes.
·Order Cycle Coordination: Direct, optimize, and coordinate the full order cycle, ensuring goods and services delivered on time and at the right cost.
·Supplier and Vendor Relations: Liaise and negotiate with suppliers, manufacturers, retailers, and consumers to maintain strong relationships and ensure smooth operations.
·Inventory Control: Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs, and efficiency.
·Warehouse Management: Arrange warehouse space, catalog goods, plan routes, and process shipments.
·Problem Resolution: Resolve any arising problems or complaints related to supply chain management.
·Team Supervision: Supervise, coach, and train warehouse workforce to meet cost, productivity, accuracy, and timeliness targets.
·Performance Metrics: Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements. - Logistics Responsibilities:
·Logistics Coordination: Plan and manage logistics operations (in & outbound), including transportation, warehousing, and distribution, to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
·Vendor Management: Negotiate and manage contracts with logistics providers and ensure compliance with service agreements.
·Performance Metrics: Monitor and analyze logistics performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
·Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies related to logistics and transportation.
·Cost Optimization: Identify opportunities to reduce logistics costs while maintaining service quality and efficiency. - Production Planning Responsibilities:
·Production Scheduling: Develop and implement detailed production schedules to meet customer demands and optimize manufacturing efficiency and costs.
·Coordination with Procurement: Ensure timely availability of raw materials and components required for production by coordinating with the procurement team.
·Capacity Analysis: Analyze production specifications and plant capacity data to determine manufacturing processes, tools, and human resource requirements. - Workflow Optimization: Design and optimize workflows to enhance production efficiency and minimize costs.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Liaise with sales, marketing, and product development departments to accurately forecast future production needs and adjust plans as necessary.
·Performance Monitoring: Implement and manage production planning software and systems to enhance visibility and control over the production process. - Procurement Responsibilities:
·Developing Procurement Strategies: Create and implement procurement strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives.
·Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with suppliers to ensure the best quality, price, and delivery terms.
·Negotiation: Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions.
·Cost Management: Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
·Market Analysis: Analyze market trends and conditions to identify opportunities for cost savings and improved procurement practices.
·Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with the supply chain and procurement processes - Other
·System Management: Utilize Material Requirements Planning to manage material planning processes and ensure data accuracy.
·Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance material planning, Logistic, PD Planning processes and add value to the business
·Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on material planning performance, including inventory levels, supplier performance, production and sales requirements.
·Team Leadership: Manage and develop a high-performing team, providing coaching and support to achieve departmental goals.
·Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, legal regulations related and ISO requirements.
Education/Certification
- Education: Bachelor degree in engineering, manufacturing, business administration, or a related field.
- Experience: 8 years+ of experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment, with a proven track record in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Skills:
a) Strong planning skills.
b) Strong leadership and team management abilities.
c) Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
d) Proficiency in production management software. - Knowledge:
a)Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
b) Logistic and Supply chain Management - Certifications: ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 auditor
