Altinay Modification (ModCenter), is a key part of RMA Groups Automotive portfolio, located in Kocaeli, Turkey. It is a Ford accredited facility positioned next to the Ford Otosan assembly plant which produces a range of commercial vehicles.
Overview and purpose of the role
We are recruiting for a Country Head of Finance for our Altinay ModCenter, reporting directly to the Group CFO with dotted line reporting responsibility to the Country CEO. This position serves as a critical member of RMAs leadership team in Turkey, to support the achievement of strong bottom line growth for the company for RMA while aligning to the objectives of RMA Group.
Key responsibilities
- Accounting & Tax
- o Ensure that the appropriate accounting policies are implemented and in place.
- o Discuss balance sheet policies in cooperation with RMA Group and the auditors.
- o Represent RMA in Turkey with local government tax and financial authorities.
- o Organize and control financial and accounting procedures of RMA in Turkey.
- o Implement proper accounting procedures and internal controls.
- o Ensure tax compliance is in place.
- Establish and develop operations in-Country
- o Gain an understanding of the changing legal environment, restrictions, capital requirements, foreign currency restrictions, import and export requirements and help obtain all necessary permits and approvals to run the business in Turkey.
- Finance & Treasury
- o Preserve the liquidity of RMA operations in Turkey.
- o Secure transfer of foreign currency and optimum cash management as well as cash collection & payments.
- o Negotiate with banks and financial institutions terms and conditions for loans and other agreements.
- o Enhance process efficiency.
- Controlling, Planning & Reporting
- o Define reporting requirements for controlling of RMA Turkey different divisions (costing, projects etc.).
- o Initiate and monitor controlling activities. Optimize methods and procedures. Coordinate short term and mid- term planning.
- o Recommend annual budgets to the management and secure their observance. Initiate and control activities to optimize costs.
- o Define controlling key parameters. Optimize profit with regard to RMA Group expectations and market possibilities.
- o Provide pricing support for products such as vehicles and parts. Make recommendations together with Sales and Marketing and After Sales to the management.
- Information Technology Management (ITM)
- o Monitor and design IT processes for the business.
- o Implement proper IT solutions.
- o Ensure that RMA Group objectives and ITM strategies are taken into account.
- o Control IT services and communication services to support the business.
- Knowledge Responsibilities
- Ensure company keeps up-to-date with the rapidly developing financial legislation and licensing requirements in Turkey.
- HR Responsibilities
- Managing, motivate and train employees in the Finance, Controlling and ITM area in order to achieve the objectives of the division as well as the personal development of the employees.
- Travel Requirements
- As required within the country. Initially there could be frequent travel to the group headquarters in Bangkok.
Background and experience
- A degree in finance, account or economics or a related field
- CPA qualification
- 15+ years relevant accounting and finance experience, ideally within the Automotive industry. Treasury experience desirable
- Track record in planning and controlling
- Previous experience in a group multinational company
- Excellent English language capability
- A hands on approach to getting the work done
- Experience in colloborating closely with the IT function
