About the job General Manager, Strategy and Digitalization

Overview of the role
The Automotive division of RMA Group is a key pillar of the companys operations, providing robust growth potential whilst also serving as a foundational piece of the companys business activities and that of its automotive partners. To ensure that the division is aligned with the overall group objectives, we are seeking to hire a business savvy and strategically minded general manager, to help us define and drive the automotive strategy both now and moving into the future. Part of our future-oriented strategy is to accelerate digital transformation in this space, utilizing digital and related tools to enhance our processes and optimize our ways of working. As such, we are looking for a candidate who can not only develop and lead group level strategy, but also drive through digital transformational change across the countries where the Automotive division operates.
This role reports into the Senior Vice President RMA Group and Managing Director, Automotive, based out of Bangkok.
Key objectives
- Drive the continuous strategic development process of the Automotive Division of RMA Group
- Set-up and Manage strategy implementation by establishing a regular process around the strategic objective and initiative sets identified for their successful implementation
- Support the management decision making process by gathering and analyzing the information then formulating solutions, proposing recommendations
- Conduct Benchmarking, best practice and other competitor assessment studies
- Facilitate workshops to ideate new strategic- and functional initiatives to deliver the strategies as well as improve the efficiency and effectiveness of initiative and project deliverables
- Drive and cascade continuous strategy communication
- Establish Digitalization Roadmap for the RMA Automotive Division. Leverage digital technologies to propose transformations of the existing business models creating higher or new revenue streams and value-producing / efficiency creating opportunities
- Lead, collaborate with, and influence both internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of the Digitalization roadmap
- Create process to identify and prioritize digitalization initiatives across all entities
- Champion the culture change towards digitalization and particularly digitalization
- Track the implementation of identified initiatives
- Serve as the functional lead of the Agricultural and Heavy Equipment Business Unit across the RMA Group organization, driving top line and bottom line through strategic guidance and business development
Background and experience
- 15+ years professional experience in the area of management consulting and operational management expertise preferably in the area of Automotive, Agricultural and/or Heavy Machinery.
- Demonstrated track record of successful strategy development and operational implementation across various business and regions to profitable outcomes.
- Program Management competency with specific project management focus
- High degree of digital affinity and deep understanding of the broad variety of digital technologies available to transform the existing business models towards increased or new revenue streams or efficiencies and cost opportunities.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex data in simple terms.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Experience working in a multinational company and familiarity with cultural differences in South-East Asia
- Strong proficiency in Excel and other reporting tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.)
- Fluent in English, both oral and written
- Willingness to travel within South-East Asia as required
