About the job Assistant General Manager - Business Development

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Business Development Leader, to help drive new and existing opportunities for our business, based in Istanbul, Turkey. This person needs to be a self-starter, possess an immense drive to succeed, and a demonstrated entrepreneurial mindset.
Responsibilities
- Identify strategic areas for growth and develop plans to maximize additional sales from these opportunities.
- Lead commercial pricing, profitability and contractual framework relating to business deals and business development initiatives in collaboration with finance and purchasing teams
- Develop new business initiatives in- and outside of Turkey
- Work with each seller team to develop and implement customer offering business/sales plans to drive adoption and achieve sales quota.
- Understand organizational and operational challenges of businesses in key customer segments to develop and manage strategic end user accounts to drive demand.
- Design and specify RMALTINAY products depending on the customer and project requirements.
- Create BOQs, research market competitors, deep knowledge of product portfolios, benchmarking, creating technical vertical write up materials, being in field as BD visiting consultants, helping them with products selection.
- Support Business Managers with closing key product/brand opportunities using technical knowledge to support.
- Responsible for Turkey, Europe, Asia and Africa.
- Organize, support and participate in product/brand events.
- Work with technical/R&D teams to ensure product/brand is not on technical hold & any issues are resolved quickly & information is fed to the relevant sales teams.
Background/experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
- Excellent written and verbal communication and project management skills
- Experience in business development or in sales for a mid-to large size competitive business
- Experience with developing/planning a business strategy
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be self-directed and demonstrate the ability to educate and influence others
- Minimum 10 years of experience in business development or sales
- Ability to build and manage relationships with Customers
- Fluent reading, writing and speaking English is a must
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required
