We are seeking a Project Manager for our Clean Energy initiative, providing innovative clean energy solutions, including containerized solar power systems. These solutions are designed to deliver reliable and sustainable energy, catering to various sectors such as power, commercial, and industrial applications. Their products aim to empower global energy access by unlocking untapped potential in renewable energy.

This position reports to our Head of Clean Energy, and would be based out of our Bangkok office. However, due the requirements of the role, the successful candidate would also need to have flexibility to work for periods outside of Bangkok, which may include working up-country, and within South-East Asia based on project requirements.

Responsibilities

Preparing, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring of assigned projects.

Leader a site weekly/monthly meeting and site inspection during construction phase

Monitor project progress, budget and resources and address potential issues

Support project director/ Head of Clean Energy to develop overall project management plans.

Cooperating and communicating with other project participants to maintain the project's schedule and budget.

Oversee the pre-construction, construction, commissioning and O&M phase of solar projects

Support permit team to obtain necessary permits and approvals from government agencies

Supporting the tendering process for construction projects by writing technical terms of reference and evaluating bids with quantifiable measures.

Assist to negotiate contracts with contractors and suppliers for both whole project development phases.

Coordinate with contractors and suppliers for project implementation

Support project director to manage project schedules, budgets, and resources

Support project director to develop project strategy, scope, schedules, resources, budgets for solar project.

Support project director to evaluate proposals from suppliers/contractors for solar project.

Support project director to coordinate and expediting with external engineering consultants, supplier and contractors throughout the design and construction process

Create and maintain project documentation and reports

Contribute to process improvement and engineering standards

Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Technical/Engineering Advisory Teams, O&M team

Support project director to ensure compliance with local regulations, codes, and permitting requirements.

Support project director to review costs and risks to ensure solar/ PV projects are within project governance limits.

Conduct quality checks to ensure installation works follow project plans and commercial requirements.

Support project director to provide expertise and guidance to risk reviews of development projects from a technical and commercial perspective.

Mentor, manage and provide guidance to engineers and project teams.

Background and Experience

Bachelor's Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy or related fields.

10+ years of experience in solar/ renewable energy field and project site control experience

Experience in project management or team leadership

Experience with solar site selection and feasibility studies

Experience in construction work, field testing and commissioning of solar/renewable project will be preferable.

Experience with permitting and interconnection

Knowledge of project management software (ex. Microsoft project, Primavera)

Basic knowledge of AutoCAD, PVsyst

Excellent project management, communication, negotiation, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

Capability of price estimation and sourcing from suppliers.

Fluent in English both written and verbal

Ability to travel/ work upcountry and abroad.
