Job Description:

  • Operational Audit Officer plays a critical role in ensuring the effectiveness, efficiency, and compliance of the companies' operations.
  • This role involves conducting thorough audits and assessments across various departments to help the company manage operational risks, adhere to regulatory requirements, and improve overall business performance.
  • This position requires attention to detail, a proactive approach, and strong analytical skills in a fast-paced leasing industry environment.
  • Planning, fieldwork, and completing activities are completed within the timeframe on sale delivery with clients, dealership assessment review, field credit assessment, loan collection, recovery, court case, asset repossession, selling asset, and write-off activities.
  • Participate in progress meetings with the auditee (before, during, and after the audit or other engagement) to ensure timely execution
  • Assist in coordinating and working with the auditee to ensure timely resolution of audit action items.
  • Assist in the review and comment, where necessary, on procedural changes and new or upgraded systems implemented by the auditee.
  • Undertake risk-based audits. Ensure that planning, fieldwork, and completion activities are performed in line with IIA standards and documentation relating to planning, fieldwork, and completion activities are completed and reported to IAM timely.
  • Assist IAM in developing a suitable Audit Work Programs for all auditable areas. The Audit Work Programs should:
    1. Consider the auditees strategic objectives and the controls in place to achieve such objectives;
    2. Focus on controls in place to address high and significant risks as documented in the auditees Risk Register;
    3. Include testing procedures to identify any instance of non-compliance with the relevant obligations as documented in the auditees Obligations Register; and
    4. Be based on approved policies and procedures.
  • Assess the auditees internal control framework (control environment, risk assessment, control activities, information and monitoring) by performing audit procedures (e.g. inquiry, inspection, observation, and re-performance).
  • Efficiencies within the IA Department.
  • Assist in developing, producing, and maintaining Computer Assisted Auditing Techniques (CAATs) to allow more efficient and effective audits.
  • Conduct special projects and investigations, as required and as directed by the Senior Audit Officer and/or Audit Manager. Liaise with other Audit Officers, where audit activities interface, to obtain assistance, where necessary, and to ensure a coordinated approach.

Requirement:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Relevant professional certifications such as CIA (Certified Internal Auditor) or CPA (Certified Public Accountant) are preferred.
  • Financial product and services knowledge - understanding of the underlying
  • Banking/FIs regulatory knowledge - understanding of local laws and regulations related to leasing business products or services to effectively audit.
  • Communication skills verbal, written, interpersonal skills, and report-writing skills in both English and Khmer.
  • Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Risk management skills - understanding of risk management principles and their application.
