About the job Part Counter
Key Responsibilities
- Greets all customer promptly, provides timely professional services
- Provides excellent customer service by listening to customer inquiries and requests,
- Recommends related parts that are needed
- Ensure necessary parts are available
- Assists Service Technicians in determining parts requirements
- Informs customers when special order parts have arrived
- Build productive working relationships, consult with others as necessary
- Approachable style, open communication
- Takes initiative to help others as needed
- Follow up with customer to ensure that their needs have been met
- Promotes cooperation and teamwork through actions
- Effectively handles changes in the Parts Department
- Maintain composure in dealing with customers
- Encourages others to value change
- Managing complexity
- Understanding and using business knowledge
Education Knowledge and Requirements
- Achieving High Standards
- Working effectively with others
- Handling Pressure Managing Complexity
- High school degree or equivalent preferred
- 1 year in an automotive parts environments preferred
- Moving throughout the Parts Department
- Using computer to look up information and write up orders
- Standing 6 to 8 hours during a shift
- Bending, stretching, lifting, reaching and climbing g
- Using equipment consistent with industry standards
