About the job Manufacturing Engineering Engineer (Expat)
RMA Automotive is a part of RMA Group of Companies that is expanding its footprints of KD assembly in Cambodia that will commence operation in Q3/Q4 of 2021. The new manufacturing plant to build Ford vehicles in Krakor is equipped with excellent facilities, best assembly and quality assurance practices with latest technology.
This is an opportunity for professionals with Manufacturing Engineering background in automotive assembly production to take the next step up and increase the skillset in high volume production systems with OEM standards.
As a key member of the Production team, the Manufacturing Engineering Engineers will ensure all product and system requirements are taken into account from the initial product conception to the finished result.
Functional responsibilities include:
- Study & Identify the manufacturing process needs for new components or new products
- Design systems, processes, facilities & methods to ensure the cost-effective assembly operations
- Assist with shop floor layout and cell designs
- Design fixtures and tooling for assembly processes
- Generate production documentation such as assembly instructions
- Reduce variability in manufacturing by providing standard work methods and work instructions
- Support the tender process for equipment to ensure the best quality for best price
- Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements and equipment layout
- Prepare FMEAs, (Failure Mode Effects Analysis) process documentation and implement improvements
- Investigate production and process issues providing technical support and training
- Coordinate with Overseas mother plant for ECN, tooling changes, resolving process issues etc.
- Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems
- Produce written reports and make presentations
The position is open to automotive assembly manufacturing engineers with these skills and traits:
- Around 5 years of experience in automotive assembly plant (high volume preferred)
- Good understanding of engineering drawings, Auto-Cad
- Comprehensive knowledge of automotive assembly line planning, standards, QMS, layout, tooling and processes
- Good communication skills in English (Khmer is a plus)
