About the Role:
We are looking for a Data Pipeline Support Engineer to join our team and play a key role in supporting and maintaining critical data pipelines for a large-scale data environment. The ideal candidate is highly skilled in Informatica PowerCenter, SQL Server, and has a strong troubleshooting mindset. You will monitor, identify, and resolve failures across ETL processes, data ingestion, and transformation pipelines.
This is a 100% remote position, open exclusively to candidates located in Spain or Mexico.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor data pipelines and identify failures using BMC Control-M.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in data ingestion from IBM DB2, SQL Server, and Azure File Shares.
- Resolve errors in transformation pipelines managed via Informatica PowerCenter and SQL Server.
- Manage outbound data feeds to Azure File Shares (CSV/XLSX) and external services like CLEO Harmony, IVANS Connect, and SMTP.
Profile and query data using SQL to address data quality issues.
- Deploy changes to Informatica and SQL components using Git and Azure DevOps pipelines.
Document incidents and solutions using ServiceNow.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent data flow and performance.
Required Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience with Informatica PowerCenter (mandatory).
Proficient in Microsoft SQL Server (mandatory).
Experience monitoring jobs with BMC Control-M (preferred).
- Familiarity with ServiceNow, Azure DevOps, and Azure File Storage (preferred).
Understanding of FTP, SMTP, and data exchange protocols.
Knowledge of IBM DB2 is a plus.
Strong analytical skills and experience in data troubleshooting.
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks in a remote environment.
Requirements:
Reside in Spain or Mexico.
English proficiency (written and spoken) for team communication.
- 3+ years of experience in similar roles supporting data pipelines or ETL environments.
- Availability to work within European or North American time zone
