Hourly Wage: $25-$28/hr, depending on experience

Work Shift: Shift options: Mon-Fri, 7:00 am 3:30 pm or 8:00 am 4:30 pm

Responsibilities:

  • Repair and overhaul aviation fuel systems including servos, flow dividers, and carburetors.

  • Repair and overhaul other aviation engine components including magnetos, cylinders, alternators, and turbo controllers.

  • Use a variety of hand and air tools.

  • Adhere to regulatory, OEM, and company manuals, ensuring compliance with service instructions and bulletins from manufacturers.

  • Complete accurate documentation, including work performed, and log training hours.

  • Clean parts using shop equipment such as media blasters, solvent tanks, and jet washes.

  • Perform maintenance tasks including disassembly and cleaning of aviation piston engines and related parts.

  • Assist with the daily clean-up of all work areas: sweeping/mopping floors, cleaning work benches, servicing test trucks and maintenance equipment, and removing garbage.

  • Perform general building and property maintenance.

Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Valid BC Class 5 Drivers License.

  • Excellent mechanical aptitude and strong organizational skills.

  • Attention to detail and understanding of maintenance shops and applicable equipment.

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced shop environment.

  • Self-starter capable of completing individual tasks with minimal supervision and on time.

  • Ability to respond positively to work direction from supervisor and co-workers.

  • Strong computer skills and commitment to safety

  • Previous aerospace experience or training is considered an asset.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying environmental conditions.

  • Experience with small engine fuel and ignition systems is a strong asset.

  • Police clearance (RCMP background check) required.

  • Basic tools.
