We are looking to hire an experienced maintenance technician for our client's growing food manufacturing plant.
As a technically skilled expert, you will utilize your experienced mechanical skills and knowledge to install or dismantle machinery and equipment according to blueprints, company plans, and other diagrams. The technician will also be responsible for repairing malfunctioning equipment to ensure the smooth operation of the plant.

Hourly Wage: $33/hr - $40/hr DOE (Permanent Full Time), Comprehensive medical and dental benefits package after probation period,3 weeks paid vacation, free parking and sick days.
Work Shift: 5 day work week, Mon-Fri OR Tue-Sat, 6:00am-4:30pm, lots of OT available.

Duties:
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment as well as ensure that all safety policies, quality standards, and standard operating procedures are followed.
- Performs preventive maintenance on all mechanical/electrical systems and equipment; this includes disassembly, cleaning, reassembly, and calibration.
- Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
Communicate potential mechanical hazards on equipment to appropriate leadership and operators.
- Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques, monitoring compliance.
Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
Supports continuous improvement initiatives for operations.
Performs other tasks and special assignments as requested by management.
Job Requirements:
Millwright / Industrial Mechanic or Electrical ticket is an asset.
2 - 3 years of experience in a manufacturing food processing or similar environment.
Knowledge of conveyors, pumps, boilers, compressor, electrical / electronic controls and high speed packaging equipment.
Must have access to reliable transportation as no public transportation is available.
Background check may be included as part of the hiring process.
Basic tools required.
Working Conditions:
Plant environment wet, cold/hot, and noisy.
Raw meat - chicken, pork, beef, no kill floor.
Pressure to meet deadlines when production is down.
