Job Summary

The successful Project Manager will serve as a key interface between external stakeholders (customers and suppliers) and internal cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Production, Procurement, and Installation. 

This role will be to report directly to the Operations Manager, ensuring seamless project execution and delivery within tight deadlines.

Major Responsibilities

- Planning: Defining project scope, goals, and timelines

- Execution: Leading project teams and resources to meet objectives

- Finalization: Ensuring timely, within-budget delivery of customer projects

- Document Review: Ensure accuracy and completeness of shop drawings and contract documents

- Administrative Support: Prepare, compile, and manage project manuals, documents, and forms

- Customer Liaison: Primary point of contact for clients

- Project Delivery: Ensure on-time, within-budget completion

- Relationship Building: Foster strong client relationships

- Feedback and Guidance: Provide constructive feedback

- Issue Resolution: Troubleshoot project challenges

- Reporting: Preparing comprehensive project cost reports to track financial performance

- Budgeting - Managing project budgets to ensure alignment with financial objectives

- Profitability - Identifying and capturing changes to the scope of work with customer and negotiating warranty chargebacks with suppliers

- Reviewing: Tender documents and specifications

Key Qualifications:

- Education: Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Technologist diploma (or equivalent)

- Experience: Construction project management, Manufacturing experience, electromechanical manufacturing systems (3+ years)

- PMP Certified: Familiarity with industry-leading standards and best practices would be an asset

- Design software mastery: Skills in AutoCAD and SolidWorks to bring your ideas to life!
