Job Openings Practice Operations & Launch Manager

About the job Practice Operations & Launch Manager

Job Context:

Riseup Labs is looking for a highly driven Practice Operations & Launch Manager to work directly with the Founder/CEO as a hands-on execution partner. This role is ideal for a recent MBA or business graduate who has real exposure to U.S. medical billing and revenue cycle operations, understands how the U.S. healthcare system works in practice, and wants to take ownership of launching and running medical practices from the ground up.

This is not a purely administrative role. You will be responsible for turning strategy into action, owning execution, and ensuring that new practices are set up correctly and efficiently—from NPI enumeration and payer enrollment through provider onboarding and billing operations. The CEO sets direction; you make it happen.

Job Responsibilities:

Practice Setup & Launch

  • Support and execute the end-to-end setup of new medical practices
  • Manage NPI enumeration, taxonomy selection, and practice registration
  • Coordinate payer enrollment, credentialing, and contracting with commercial and government payers
  • Assist with provider onboarding, including credentialing, EHR access, and billing setup
  • Track launch timelines and ensure milestones are met

Medical Billing & Revenue Operations

  • Work hands-on with U.S. medical billing and coding workflows
  • Coordinate with internal or external billing teams on claims, denials, and collections
  • Track key RCM metrics (claims status, AR, denials, reimbursement timelines)
  • Identify process gaps and flag revenue or compliance risks early

Project Management & Execution

  • Turn high-level guidance from the Founder into clear tasks, timelines, and priorities
  • Own assigned projects and follow through without reminders
  • Maintain task lists, project documentation, and operational checklists
  • Proactively surface blockers and propose solutions

AI & Process Optimization

  • Use AI tools to streamline workflows across billing, credentialing, and operations
  • Build simple automations, dashboards, and summaries using AI where appropriate
  • Continuously look for ways to improve speed, accuracy, and scalability

Executive Support & Communication

  • Act as a trusted right-hand support to the Founder/CEO
  • Provide clear, concise updates on project status and next steps
  • Help prioritize work so focus stays on high-impact initiatives

Educational Requirements:

  • MBA or recent business graduate (or equivalent business training)

Working Knowledge/Requirements:

  • 1–4 years of experience in U.S. medical billing, RCM, or healthcare operations
  • U.S. medical billing and coding
  • Payer enrollment and credentialing
  • How revenue flows through a medical practice
  • Highly motivated self-starter with strong ownership mentality
  • Comfortable working with ambiguity and minimal supervision
  • AI-literate and eager to use AI tools to improve execution and efficiency
  • Strong English communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Organized, reliable, and execution-focused

Who This Role Is For

  • A builder early in their career, not someone looking for a big title
  • Someone who wants real responsibility and exposure to practice operations
  • A business-minded operator who understands healthcare mechanics
  • A fast learner with strong drive and follow-through
