DevOps Engineer

Job Context:

Riseup Labs is looking for a Devops Engineers who are product and infrastructure wizards who work with customers to help fulfill that mission. As a DevOps Engineer, you will be the customer liaison to our Engineering organization. You will field incoming questions, help users configure company, and help them understand how to use our products’ features. You will help monitor the performance of Company systems, making sure our customers have the appropriate infrastructure to complete their work successfully.

Job Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using tools like Terraform or Ansible.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure scalability and availability.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate DevOps best practices.
• Implement security measures and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Optimize cloud services and manage resources on platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Maintain clear documentation for workflows, processes, and configurations.
• Manage database operations and performance optimization.
• Handle incident response and participate in on-call duties.
• Drive innovation and lead infrastructure initiatives in DevOps processes.

Educational Requirements:

• B.Sc in Computer Science and Engineering from any reputed public or private university.

Additional Requirements:

• Proficient in AWS services and architecture.
• Extensive experience with containerization (Docker).
• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Strong background in CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Circle CI, GitLab CI).
• Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana).
• Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, Shell).
• Proficiency with version control systems (Git) and GitOps practices.
• Knowledge of security best practices and compliance requirements.
• Experience with database administration and optimization.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts and security.

Working Hours:

• 9:00 am – 6:00 pm
