Job Context:
Riseup Labs is looking for a passionate and results-driven Game Product Manager to join our dynamic game development team. As a key member of our product management team, you will be responsible for driving the lifecycle of game features from conception to launch. You will work closely with designers, developers, and publishers to create engaging and successful gaming experiences that align with both player expectations and business objectives.
Job Responsibilities:
- Define, refine, and execute the product roadmap in collaboration with senior leadership, aligning with business goals and player needs.
- Conduct market research, analyze player feedback, and track industry trends to identify new opportunities and refine product strategies.
- Lead the design, and execution of new game features, content, and updates that enhance user engagement and retention.
- Prioritize features based on impact, player feedback, and business requirements.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (design, engineering, QA) to ensure timely and quality delivery of features.
- Define success metrics for features and updates (e.g., player engagement, retention, monetization) and track progress using data-driven insights.
- Monitor KPIs, A/B test new features, and iterate on product offerings based on data-driven analysis.
- Analyze player behavior and feedback to continuously improve the user experience and optimize game mechanics.
- Serve as the product champion within the development team, ensuring alignment with business objectives and game vision.
- Develop go-to-market strategies in collaboration with marketing and community teams, ensuring successful feature releases and product updates.
- Assist with the post-launch analysis, gathering player feedback, and working on updates to resolve issues or improve the product.
- Present product updates and key insights to senior management and publishers.
- Communicate with multiple publishers and work with their KPIs to full fill the business goal
Educational Requirements:
- B.Sc in Computer Science and Engineering from any reputed public or private university.
Additional Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in product management, with a proven track record of successful feature launches, work with gamming product will be a plus.
- Strong understanding of the product development lifecycle and how to collaborate with design, engineering, and QA teams.
- Excellent analytical skills with experience using data tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Unity Analytics) to inform product decisions.
- Experience with A/B testing and optimization techniques.
- Strong understanding of key performance indicators (KPIs) for products, including user acquisition, retention, lifetime value (LTV), and monetization.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Problem-solving mindset and ability to make decisions based on data and player feedback.
- A passion for gaming, with a deep understanding of player motivations, game mechanics, and industry trends.
- Experience in live-ops or free-to-play game models is a plus.
- Knowledge of UX/UI principles and how they impact the player experience.
