Image Annotator

Job Context:

Riseup Labs is hiring detail-oriented Image Annotators for an industrial quality-control project. You will label defect classes in production-material images using a structured guideline, directly contributing to training data for machine-learning models.

Job Responsibilities:

• Annotate images by identifying and labeling defect classes using exact color codes and annotation rules
• Apply polygon, bounding-box, or pixel-level masks depending on the defect type
• Distinguish between visually similar defect classes based on shape, location, and contextual guidelines
• Flag ambiguous images for QA review - never guess
• Meet daily throughput targets while maintaining ≥95% accuracy
• Incorporate feedback from QA reviews and stay up to date with guideline changes

Educational Requirements:

• HSC/Bachelors

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of hands-on image annotation or data labeling experience
• Proficiency in at least one annotation platform: Supervisely (strongly preferred), CVAT, Label Studio, Roboflow, Labelbox, or equivalent
• Ability to follow multi-page written annotation guidelines independently and accurately
• Experience with semantic or instance segmentation tasks
• Strong attention to detail and ability to sustain focus across repetitive tasks

Nice to have:

• Experience annotating industrial, manufacturing, or flat-material images (textiles, film, paper, etc.)
• Familiarity with defect types such as wrinkles, folds, holes, or ink contamination
• Knowledge of CV/ML concepts - training data pipelines, model evaluation

Workplace: 

• Uttara, Dhaka

Working hour:

• 9.00 AM to 6.00 PM

Salary: 

• Negotiable (Based on experience and skills)
